The index is relative: 100 is the league's best in that component, 0 the worst. It reads the superflex KTC values, which already price in position and age at the player level — this only adds what KTC can't see about a team. No contract component: Sleeper dynasty has no salaries to model.

Every trade is priced at the value that was live when it happened — so a player who returned two good years and then retired counts for what he was worth then, not the zero he'd read today. Current-season trades use live KTC; earlier ones use a backfilled value history (DynastyProcess, mapped onto KTC's scale — marked est.). A pick already drafted is valued at the player it became; a future pick uses KTC's tier value. Net ROI sums every trade a team has ever made.
